Our Business

Founded in January 1983, Amervest is an active fixed income manager headquartered in Los Angeles , California . We design investment strategies that seek to outperform appropriate benchmarks within the investment guidelines of our clients. To achieve higher returns (also known as “portable alpha”), we have developed several investment strategies with a prime dealer/bank which provides the principal guarantee feature when needed. We do not use derivatives, debt leverage or interest rate futures. Our strategy is to manage the funds based upon the client’s requirements for safety and liquidity as well as to produce a competitive total return.

Investment Philosophy

Amervest applies a consistent and well-defined decision making process in terms of active duration management, asset diversification and security selection. We focus on our clients’ requirements for safety, liquidity and total return to build investment strategies that reflect their risk tolerance and return expectations.

Mission Statement

Our goal is to achieve customer satisfaction. We strive to deliver quality investment service at the lowest possible cost in accordance with client’s investment policy.

Discretionary Investment Services

Our investment approach is to seek excess returns over designated benchmarks. This is accomplished through a bond optimization process developed by Amervest to allocate assets between different sectors and maturity horizons.
